Feeling Blue

I must have been feeling a bit blue lately.... I have finally gotten round to loading a few new items onto the Wildberry website this afternoon, and noticed that they are all blue! It wasn't planned, so I must be going through a phase! I must try and steer away from the blue box for a while.

Photographs are still a major headache for me. I just can't seem to get them right. I've sussed the macro thing on my camera, and have some photo editing software that is pretty good, but the photos just don't come out right. Is it the background I'm using, or maybe the lighting? Any ideas or suggestions would be gratefully received!

I go through blue phases as well - it's my favourite colour. You photos are looking great. If it's any consolation I have real problems with photos as well. I get my BH to take them for me, then I don't get so stressed :)

Aww, thanks Nicky. I think it might be the background that's not quite right - it looks a bit a dark and I'm not sure it shows the jewellery at its best. I'm going to try something lighter to see if it's any better......

LOL Veryan! I like your style! I wonder if I could sweet talk my hubby into taking mine for me??

Thanks for your kind comments Vicky. The gemstones on the True Blue earrings are sodalite - aren't they an amazing colour? Look great with jeans....

This happens to me as well, I'll work on several creations and then realize they're all similar in color. Your work is gorgeous and I think your photographs are truly beautiful - sincerly!

I agree with the others, your photos look great to me ~ in my book bad pictures are the ones that come out very dark or with dodgy yellow tints, or blurry etc. etc. I find my photos are a bit hit and miss, but general I would definitely say photos taken in natural daylight are definitely the best. Even if its not bright and sunshiny I find it much easier to manipulate pictures using editing software that have been taken in natural rather than artifical light.

I think your photos turned out great. I especially like the True Blue Hoops. The way parts of them are in focus and other parts aren't is perfect.
